You’ve come to know, here on the Proprint blog, that we love sharing our sources of inspiration. We’ve been drawing
comparisons and extrapolating themes from the music, art, and fashion worlds to print production. What we’ve come to
learn is that there’s a creative commonality, and curiosity that drives us all to continuously hone our craft and
evolve our artistic expression.
What better example of the art of craftsmanship than watchmaking? Timepieces stand the test of time as they
evolve alongside achievements in history, science, technology, art, and culture. Not only are we inspired,
we printmakers are synchronising with watchmakers around innovation, skill mastery, and true love of the
craft itself.
We not only geek out on the history, science, and engineering behind planographic print processes, we’re
obsessed with its tech innovations and advancements.
Inspired by horologists, our print masters share a similar dedicated passion towards the print production
craft. From our print production artists, creative and structural designers, to our hand finishing teams, we
have the imagination and flow-state mindset required to bring function to design form.
What’s the key to making the world’s best watches? We think it’s the skill mastery to bring together the many
moving parts of complex watchmaking to create timepieces that not only function exactly as they are intended
to, but also become wearable pieces of art. We’ve been watching this intersection of function x form play
out and are in awe at the masterpieces some of the world’s leading watch brands have been creating.
