The Makings Of Proprint 2.0: A New Brand Direction & Brand Story

We’ve evolved our visual identity to reflect a new chapter we’re calling Proprint 2.0 and are excited to unveil with all of you!

We recently sat down with our creative agency, The Creative Collective, to reflect on our new brand journey. Read on below, excerpts of our interview, to dive deeper into how Proprint 2.0 came to be.

You’ve been quite busy over the summer, catching up on patio and cottage time and no big deal… a brand refresh! What prompted the need for a new look and feel for Proprint?

For over 30 years, we’ve been elevating brands and products across North America.Through this history, our customers and brand partners have come to recognize us as leaders in the print and packaging industry. In 2020, we saw a need and opportunity to elevate our own brand look and feel to reflect our evolution in the business. We teamed up with your team to help us tell the Proprint brand story in a new and modern way – and we must say, we’re pretty stoked about how it turned out!

We’re pretty stoked too! We’d love to hear some of your highlights as you and your team embarked on the new brand journey!

So many highlights! To start, we wanted to ensure that we paid homage to how our customers and partners have come to know us over the years. It was important for us to keep elements of the distinctive colour splash in the previous logo. In the new visual identity, we love how the splash got modernized, as well as the signature “P” which we hope will become a new word-mark identity of the brand. At the heart of this refresh though, was our desire to communicate characteristics of our internal culture, externally. Everyone at Proprint is truly dedicated to customer service. This passion for what we do, and the professional and fun spirit with which we do it, really is at the core of Proprint. So cool to see that this led to a brand direction centred around making customers happy, seriously happy!

Absolutely! From a branding perspective, it was easy to draw upon this seriously happy theme as it’s not only present in your company culture but echoed from the sentiments your customers shared with us. You’ve been print masters for over 30 years, as OG’s in the industry, how do you view your relationship with your customers?

Partnership. We feel very fortunate to have some of Canada’s most notable brands and companies trust us to be their strategic partner. Oftentimes, we work alongside marketing teams to imagine, create, and deliver projects – seamlessly under one roof. It really sets us apart to be able to offer full-service print and production capabilities for our customers. Not only do we have industry-leading equipment and capacity to fulfill for the big guys, we support the local and small business in our community to help bring their brand/products to life with lasting impact – entrepreneurial spirit drives us!

We love the message Think Differently. Print Differently. What’s behind this perspective?

People and technology. The convergence of both is our secret sauce to staying humble, agile, and forward-looking. Our people, from sales to structural design, inspire us everyday with their dedication and creativity. On tech, we’re always looking towards the future of print production – our robotic arm is just one example of our investment in machinery that accelerates speed-to-market for our customers.

Did you just give away your secret sauce?

Haha yes, we just may have… but I think we’re okay with that!

A look ahead, where do you see Proprint evolving to in the future?

We’d love to expand our brand partnerships even further and continue to grow in our space – Proprint 3.0! Thanks to all of you who continue to support, motivate, and inspire us to raise the bar on what we do and why we do it. For now, we’re seriously happy to unveil our new look with all of you!
